Canine Exercise Therapy: keeping dogs on their paws.

How does it work?

Exercise therapy is a non-invasive form of rehabilitation that can help to improve your pet’s mobility and comfort, rebuild and strengthen lost muscle and providing pain relief for chronic musculoskeletal issues. Commonly prescribed for dogs with orthopaedic issues, or those recovering from surgery, it is equally suited to sporting dogs in need of conditioning and senior dogs that have reduced mobility due to the natural aging process.

In many cases, exercise therapy is more effective if continued at home between sessions. During an initial consultation, we will assess your pet’s needs, your rehab goals and the time and space you have available to you. We will then create a bespoke exercise plan with images/videos and step-by-step instructions on how to carry out the exercises, how many times and how often. We will run through the plan with you to make sure everything is clear, but we’re always available for support between canine physiotherapy sessions if you have any questions or concerns – just give us a call!
